AboutAlberto Meouchi is an architect, urban designer, and Researcher Associate at the Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His recent research focuses on the interrelation of alternative land tenure systems, land use data processes, migration, and city morphology. Alberto holds an architecture degree from Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico and a Master of Science in Architecture Studies in Urbanism from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Prior to joining MIT, he was a project manager in Sebastian Mariscal Studio in Boston and studio leader of G3rquitectos in Mexico, in which projects, submissions and competitions coordinated by him led to several national and international selections, distinctions, and prizes. He has worked on a wide range of design scales for projects in Mexico, the United States, Venezuela, Australia, China, and India. Alberto has received the Julian Beinart Research Award, the MIT DesignX Post-Pandemic World Challenge grant, the Bejos Fellowship, and the Harold Horowitz Research Fund, and the Felix Candela Prize; his work has been exhibited in several national and international exhibitions, such as the Venice Biennale, in 2016 and 2021; the ETSAM, in 2019, the UNAM, in 2019, Mextropoli, in 2022, and MIT in 2023.
